"Classrooms that are student-centered are the most successful." - Unknown
Classroom Management Plan Within my classroom management plan, I have included procedures for the first days of school. I used Love and Logic, along with Wong and Marzano as guide to develop my plans. I believe that high expectations and giving students responsibility are the first steps in creating a successful classroom. classroom_management_plan.pdf
Environment Plans The classroom should facilitate learning and should be student-centered. These environment plans focus on four areas in my classroom. Within those sections, I wrote lessons and procedures on how I would introduce the area to preschool age students. These plans could easily be translated into an elementary classroom. classroom_environment_plans.pdf
Parent, Community & Family Involvement Plan Parental involvement is necessary for student success. As I start my career as a teacher, I plan to give parents every opportunity to be involved and informed about their child's life. “Building true partnerships is a process that requires both teachers and parents to create a shared meaning about education (Olsen, Fuller, 2018, p. 103).” My involvement plan highlights the importance of partnership and includes tools for parent, community, and family involvement. family_and_community_involvement_plan_.pdf Administrative Preschool Plan As an early childhood education major, you have the ability to open your own childcare center. If I were to open one, these would be my plans. It includes my early childhood philosophy along with rules and regulations that come with opening your own childcare facility. preschool_administration_plans.pdf Language Arts Philosophy I believe that the most effective way to teach language arts is through hands-on learning, relatability, and understanding students’ prior knowledge. Within my language arts philosophy, I wrote more in-depth about my beliefs about students' backgrounds and the importance of connecting their life to the subject of language arts. language_arts_philosophy.pdf
