Diversity Experiences Traveling Abroad Summer 2016 | Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, England, Austria, France I had the amazing opportunity to travel and live in Germany for three months in 2016. The ability to observe different teaching methods and determine its effectiveness is something I highly value from my journey abroad.

I also found that horse therapy can greatly benefit people who have special needs, because they obtain empathy and communication skills. Diversity Capstone Oct. 25, 2018 | Ft. Fall 2018 | Youth Correctional Center I gave my service to the church at the youth correctional center in Bismarck by cleaning. We toured the facility and gained knowledge about the system. I heard the back-stories of the young men who were in the facility. As I walked around the facility, I felt empathy for the youth in the facility because they looked like lost children. As I go into my own classroom, I don't want my students to be lost. By teaching students from a holistic approach, I can connect with them and help them discover their potential through perseverance.
